Position Purpose

To perform production monitoring as well as daily cycle counts and adjustments for raw materials and packaging to maintain inventory accuracy.

Key Accountabilities

Ensure accurate data entry and inventory counts.

Responsibilities

  • Keep track of received data and source documents (batch sheets, pallet control tickets, machine time utilization)
  • Prepare and sort source documents, and identifies and interprets data to be entered
  • Contact preparer of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data
  • Enter alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into computer following format displayed on screen, and enter necessary codes
  • Compare data entered with source documents, or re-enters data in verification format on screen to detect errors
  • Make necessary corrections to information entered
  • Compile, sort, and verify accuracy of data to be entered
  • Keep record of work completed
  • Review error reports and enter corrections into computer
  • Transmit entered information into database
  • File or route source documents after entry
  • Respond to inquiries regarding entered data
  • Required to help and assist in Receiving and Warehouse transactions
  • Daily counts are performed on critical items and scheduled cycle counts of raw materials and packaging.
  • Inventory discrepancies and scanning errors are investigated and are reported to the Inventory Supervisor.
  • Daily collaboration with peers and warehouse team to support timely clearing of COGI errors
  • Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and verifying the empty bin report
  • Continuous communication of physical variances with the Inventory Analyst, purchasing team to achieve appropriate inventory levels
  • Work closely with QA department to maintain products with quality and expiry issues
  • Ensure a safe work environment based on O.H.S.A.
  • Adhere to all applicable job procedures as outlined in SOP manual
  • Adhere to GMPs and Health and Safety rules as outlined in employee handbook
    • Keep work area clean and clear of hazards
    • Report any unsafe conditions, incidents or injuries to supervisor immediately
    • Use all prescribed personal protective equipment
  • Ensure GMP’s and safe food handling practices are being followed
    • All tools to be cleaned and maintained in good repair. Report any broken, damaged, or missing tools to your supervisor. Do not discard any damaged or broken tools.
    • Follow all GMPs including maintaining personal hygiene, hand washing/sanitizing hands, clean up spills (i.e., ingredients, water, debris and wood)
    • Report any foreign material findings to your supervisor
    • Report all ceiling leaks to your supervisor
    • As part of food security, report any unusual people or behavior to your supervisor
  • Perform all other duties assigned

 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
  • Minimum high school education; or up to 6 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to work a 3 shift rotation

  • The majority of work in the bakery requires employees to stand on their feet for the entire 8-12 hour shift
  • Physical demands may also include reaching, bending, walking, lifting (up to a maxiumum of  50lbs) and performing repetitive actions

  • ARYZTA Limited is a 24 hour/ 7 day manufacturing operation
  • The temperature of the environment within the production area can range from 58 - 80 degrees farenheit depending on the department.
  • The frozen warehouse may reach temperatures as low as 10.4 farenheit.
  • The production areas are often loud, exceeding 85 decibels, due to the machinery that is running; earplugs are required to be worn while in the bakery at all times
  • Depending on postion, some employees may be exposed to dust; dust masks and respirators are available if required
