Director, Customer Development

This position is responsible for the strategic growth in share and sales as well as business development across the midwest, the candidate must have experience with either customer and a understanding of bakery.   

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as executive contact for several, large customer partners and lead internal team to achieve goals. Build strategic plan and relationships for positioning ARYZTA in a leadership and category captain role.
  • Serve as expert on assigned customers, understanding the customer’s corporate strategy, and how to align ARYZTA initiative w/ the customer’s strategy.
  • Provide thought leadership in driving distribution growth on branded retail launches.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management team to develop and implement plan to meet and exceed annual budget.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and aggressive environment
  • Prioritize business/sales objectives to deliver maximum growth that is aligned with ARYZTA’s strategic direction.
  • Lead & participate in presentations, negotiations, sales meetings, and trade shows with key external & internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction stays high, develop lasting relationships with existing customers, and create new relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop ARYZTA’s marketing strategies, as well as providing input in developing innovative new foods.

 

Required:

  • 5-7 years min. of retail sales experience in a senior sales role or equivilant experience 
  • College/University degree required, MBA preferred.
  • Strong track-record of proven success in developing branded consumer packaged goods.
  • Bakery experience preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation, negotiation, & relationship building abilities.
  • Strategic, resourceful, & creative individual who is a proven hands-on sales leader that thrives in a team environment.
  • Flexible personality and able to regularly transition between high-level, strategic work and detailed, tactical work.
  • General understanding of food/beverage/other CPG environments.
