Key Accountabilities

This position will be responsible for sourcing and procurement activities in the Packaging – Resin Categories. Support responsibilities include Strategic Sourcing, Contract Negotiations, Resin Market Analysis and Commodity Recommendation. Additionally, the candidate is expected to support bakery operations and manage supplier relationship and performance.


  • Collaborate with business stakeholders at all levels of the organization to achieve savings targets, improve supplier performance, minimize supply chain risk, and maximize supplier collaboration and innovation.
  • Identify key procurement and supply chain risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead change management efforts to continuously increase spend under management and integrate sourcing into business decision making.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with best-in-class suppliers.
  • Develop strong partnerships across the enterprise, aligning with and managing strategic initiatives and commitments.
  • Work with Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, and Business Units Leadership Teams to develop creative approaches to analyzing, sourcing and managing categories of spend, compliance, and supplier innovation.
  • Identify roadblocks to effective procurement – then develop and implement solutions.
  • Develop and align procurement processes and category/supplier strategies across bakeries, business units, etc. to ensure people, processes and tools are leveraged for optimal results.



  • Delivery of annual savings plan for spend & savings projections.
  • Apply ARYZTA Strategic Sourcing methodology.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts.
  • Interface with Finance, Bakery Leadership, and other stakeholders in pursuit of savings targets.
  • Lead contracts and supplier implementations.
  • Drive adoption of Procurement Policies across the company.
  • Lead the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for all Packaging – Corrugate, Cardboard, and Packaging – Other categories. Capital Expenditures. Logistics, Warehousing, Travel, Sales & Marketing, etc.
  • Create and lead the development of bid packages and administer RFP / RFQ / RFI.
  • Support bakeries with supply challenges.
    Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • 2+ years or more of relevant experience in Packaging Procurement.
  • Proficient financial acumen.
  • Demonstrated success using analytical skills, as well as written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative individual with the ability to work across multiple units, people, skills and personalities.
  • Adaptable, flexible, positive, open to learning, developing and welcoming of new ideas.
  • Accessible to internal and external clients.
  • Well organized, and able to work on multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivated and ambitious, ability to operate without supervision.
  • Experience leading supplier negotiations.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office, at an advanced level.

Bachelor's degree required.
