Key Accountabilities

The Sr. Manager, Customer Development will manage targeted ARYZTA Corporate Distribution Accounts. This position reports directly to the Division Vice President of Corporate Accounts.  This position will manage an existing customer base while also developing new customer opportunities.


  • Attain sales budgets through the execution of sales plans for Foodservice distributors; responsible for current volume, planned growth, and profitability goals in identified accounts
  • Execute category management initiatives with Foodservice broadline distributor partners and negotiate individual marketing programs
  • Analyze market insights and trends with customer/operator in order to identify and execute on product gaps, voids and assortment opportunities that align with ARYZTA goals and objectives along with Customer Category Management initiatives, while collaborating with our Regional Sales team and brokers for execution of plans
  • Responsible for managing and negotiating trade spend and marketing for applicable accounts by utilizing available promotional programs to maximize sales returns as compared to promotional dollars spent for the entire ARYZTA portfolio
  • Participate in and/or execute customer joint business planning and QBR’s as needed
  • Assist in managing, maintaining, and cultivating continued strong partnerships/relationships with applicable accounts across multiple functional areas and at multiple levels
  • Assist as needed with negotiations of customer contracts, terms and conditions
  • Assist with ARYZTA’s strategic brokerage relationship with TCG as a conduit between cross functional teams in National Accounts, Non-Comm, and Emerging Chains into applicable accounts
  • Effectively work with cross-functional teams within ARYZTA to maximize speed to market on an array of products, and provide category field insight to drive category and brand growth
  • Liaise with applicable cross-functional teams to assist with day to day projects including but not limited to: new item set up, pricing maintenance and issues, customer issues over 90 days (aged collectibles, deductions, backup), ingredient/packaging updates, forecasting, etc.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to assist with customer portal requests, tasks, and initiatives


Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Business or related field, MBA is a plus
  • 7+ years of related experience in the Foodservice Industry. Corporate Distribution Account Management and Bakery segment experience are a plus
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, experience with other customer/trade planning systems are a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Additional knowledge, skills and abilities include: attention to detail, analytical, planning, presentation, negotiation, management, and measurement
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time
