Job Description & Accountabilities

This role is responsible for providing Finance and Accounting support, Procurement and Commodity Insights and Analytics, accurate financial projections, and day-to-day financial perspectives to the Procurement and Finance Organizations. He/She oversees and conducts financial analysis and reporting, business planning, new process development, continuous process improvement. He/She acts as a liaison to the Finance Organization, including Customer Finance, Inventory, Accounting, FP&A, and Bakery Controllers.

 

Responsibilities

  • Creates monthly Purchase Price Variance (PPV) reports, including insights into variance and trend analysis
  • Performs close steps including FRIR clearing, accrual errors clean up, and spend reclassifications as required
  • Facilitates budgeting and forecasting process, loads and unloads SQL data, and creates budget presentations
  • Creates and manages Procurement Balanced Scorecard and action items log to reach/maintain KPIs targets
  • Facilitates and coordinates SRM Analytics, including Supplier Scorecard Metrics, and cross-functional stakeholders’ supplier performance scores
  • Identifies and leads Continuous Improvement projects across Procurement Analytics and P2P process
  • Ensures there is continuous improvement and innovation in reporting, forecasting, and finance and accounting practices
  • Responds to requests from Commodity Managers for spend data analysis to ensure rigorous financial analysis (e. g., cost savings methodology, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the Commodity Price Risk Management (CPRM) team to effectively manage market risk, including volume forecasting, contract balancing, and thorough review of component price models
  • Provides guidance and insights regarding cost trends, based on current initiatives and commodity market behaviour to ensure objectives are met
  • Organizes and maintain comprehensive procurement financial files and ensure all recording is compliant with audit requirements
  • Demonstrates a broad business and accounting knowledge; describes methods in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Applies advanced financial analysis techniques to draw conclusions from financial data; understands and evaluates implications of alternatives; makes decisions on an appropriate course of action

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance or Accounting preferred
  • 5+ years of related Procurement/Finance; food manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
  • Solid communication, problem solving and research skills
  • Must be proficient with SAP ECC, SQL, Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Certified Public Accountant - Preferred
