Business Development Manager Foodservice
Reports to: Head of Field Sales ARYZTA Ireland
Geographical Territory: Field Sales Management Regional team Northwest or Southeast Ireland.
Principle Accountabilities will include:
This role will have responsibility for a team of 4 business developers in a designated region. The successful candidate will manage, develop, and motivate their team to ensure consistent delivery and execution of best-in-class customer experience, recruitment of new customers and delivery of sales budgets for the Foodservice business.
People Management:
- The deployment and management of resources – (EG: people, budgets, time) to deliver sales and margin targets.
- Development and consistency of all activities associated with the field.
- Coordinate the field sales activity and ensure that current activities reflect market opportunities in relation to product launches, category gaps, seasonal lines etc.
- Coach and proactive management of direct reports to maximise sales from our existing customer base
- Manage and drive team meetings on a fortnightly basis aligned with the company strategy and objectives
- Ensure compliance with our company policies and procedures e.g., ensuring Food Safety, Health & Safety requirements are adhered to.
Execution / Goal Setting:
- Customer Growth plans – Prospecting and existing customers
- Building appropriate product distribution.
- Development and consistency of all activities associated with the field utilising CRM
Relationship Management:
- Delivery of elevated levels of customer service always leading to the best customer experience
- Work cross functionally with other departments in the business e.g.: National Accounts, Finance, Marketing and HR to deliver shared objectives that will result in maximisation of both sales and profit for the organisation.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with Key Customers in the areas.
Budget and Revenue Management:
- To identify, develop and implement new business opportunities both with existing and new customers along with continuous prospecting of new business opportunities
- Present quarterly business plans to senior management to share results from previous quarter and targets for next quarter.
Skills & Qualifications Required
- Proven track record in a sales environment within the Foodservice sector preferable.
- Suitable for a seasoned sales professional looking for a step into field sales management.
- A Chef or someone from a culinary background with experience of people management.
- Third level qualification or minimum 5 years successful track record in a related industry.
- Excellent communication & Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Excellent planning and organising skills.
- Full, unrestricted driving licence.
