Overall Purpose of Role:

 

The role of the EHS manager is to lead and maintain the EHS Management system across the manufacturing, logistics and HQ operations at our Dublin facility. In managing a team of 2, the successful candidate will also join a newly developed EU EHS organisational structure & team.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

 


Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience

 

  • Support in execution of the EHS Roadmap for Zero Harm in line with the EU EHS Roadmap
  • Provide support, guidance and direction to all business units across the site in the form of servant leadership
  • Develop plan to deliver  on EU EHS Program requirements and procedures
  • Maintain EHS Data set to track EHS Performance against agreed EU objectives
  • Perform data collection, data analysis and data management for EHS KPI’s, monthly reports & communications to key stakeholders and business units
  • Manage EHS Department function and budget
  • Partner with the Occupational Health service to facilitate effective and efficient OH program
  • Develop and foster an EHS Culture through partnerships and a structured framework
  • Manage internal / external audits and regulatory compliance visits
  • Ensure EHS procedures are updated and aligned with Local / EU EHS legislation
  • Anticipate compliance requirements from upcoming EHS legislation and ensure framework in place to facilitate compliance
  • Support the Head Office regarding H&S management
  • Ensure continued compliance with ISO14001 Environmental Management System & the site EDL
  • Establish an EHS Inspection & Audit program for across the site
  • Responsible for aligning the current H&S Management System with ISO45001 which includes rigorous focus on Risk Assessment
  • Collaborate cross-functionally where required to ensure effective integration of continuous improvement in EHS
  • Ensure program is current with emerging trends in technology esp. SMART technology
  • Continuously drive the site Safety Observation Program and Incident prevention management  
  • Ensure continued focus on High Hazard Program across the site
     

Skills & Qualifications – Essential

 

  • Degree Qualification / or relevant in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate among peers and management
  • 5+ years Management experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Proven track record in continuous improvement  
  • Ability to keep abreast with emerging legislation, technology and business needs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred experience in FMCG
  • Member of IOSH
