Main duties & responsibilities:


Full Management of the Foodservice Sector on the island of Ireland through:

  • Lead the Customer Account Management Team in the creation, implementation and achievement of individual National Account business plans.
  • Develop and implement Category partnership growth plans with each key strategic customer.
  • Ensure each Account business plan is commensurate with the Company business growth, investment plans and customer strategic plan.
  • Identify potential under-performance issues by account & through the Customer Account Managers, propose and drive corrective strategies to ensure delivery of budgetary targets.
  • Create and maintain customer relationships with the Customer Management Team ensuring that every customer is serviced consistently and according to their individual needs.
  • Represent the business for all National Account issues, both internally and externally.
  • Work very closely with individual customers to understand their key growth drivers and to ensure we deliver to these drivers to maintain our position as supplier of choice to all our partners.
  • Devise and deliver on the annual joint business plans ensuring achievement of agreed targets and agreed deadlines, maximizing opportunities for ARYZTA Food Solutions Ireland.
  • Actively seek consumer research / consumer trends & insights in cooperation with Consumer Insights Team.
  • Work cross functionally on new customer, channel & market development opportunities.
  • Implement and lead business development and achieve target growth plans.
  • Drive growth in new categories via current brand licensing agreements.
  • The deployment and management of resources - people, budgets, time - to deliver sales and margin targets across the channel on the island of Ireland.
  • Work cross functionally with other departments in the business e.g.: Sales, Finance, Marketing and HR to deliver shared objectives that will result in maximisation of both sales and profit for the organisation.
  • Through the National Accounts Team & Field Sales Management Teams, coordinate all activities and inputs to deliver required results within the field.
  • Provide clear direction weekly and monthly to the Customer Service team to help drive the Foodservice strategy on every sales call.


People Management

  • Responsible for the development of a highly skilled and focused team that will assist in delivering the required vision for ARYZTA Food Solutions Ireland via National Accounts and Filed Sales and Customer Service teams.
  • Coaching and proactive management of your direct reports ensuring that goals and objectives are clearly defined for the team while providing support and guidance. 
  • Foster an ethos of team work.
  • Embed structured sales and work processes  such as JBP’s, sales calling, customer service.
  • Hire, train and retain skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Succession planning through talent evaluation process and PDP’s.


Financial Management

  • Management of head office agreements.
  • Margin and EBIT focused, corrective action taken if and when the opportunity arises to improve same.
  • Payroll, overhead and sample costs managed as per budget.
  • Forecast accuracy and management via direct reports.


Relationship Building

  • Responsible for the proactive management of existing customer relationships and the development of new relationships to support the strategic business plan for the convenience channel.
  • Continuous fostering of relationships at head office level.

  • Degree in a business related area. (Relevant experience may qualify).
