A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced, ambitious and highly driven Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team based in Clondalkin, Dublin 22.

 

Overall Purpose of the Role: 

 

As a key member of the wider ARYZTA Europe Procurement team, the Procurement Manager Ireland, Netherlands & Denmark will lead procurement activities and initiatives across the three business units.


Reporting to the Head of Procurement Europe, the Procurement Manager will be responsible to develop, align & execute local spend strategies and projects to sustainably improve cost and performance levels. Enabling and managing central procurement projects in the direct and indirect spend categories, the Procurement Manager plays an essential role in insuring the relevant wide business stakeholder interface and represents the procurement function. Acting as a catalyst for changes and continuous improvement, the Procurement Manager creates the supply network of the future in support of ARYZTA’s revenue growth plan ensuring competitiveness and effective supplier relationship management.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Group Procurement on Corporate & Regional projects through strategic procurement project planning and implementation;
  • Representing ARYZTA in dealings and negotiations with supplier trading partners;
  • Accountable for the alignment and development of cross functional initiatives that can deliver value to ARYZTA;
  • Helps to develop the annual plan for procurement including cost savings objectives, as well as process and efficiency improvements in collaboration with Group Procurement;
  • Cross functional team support with Operations, Sales & Marketing, Logistics, FSQA, and R&D.  Lead projects by acting as a liaison between internal team members;
  • Direct involvement with Finance & Accounting functions to meet costing and pricing initiatives
  • Improve working capital;
  • Manage specific spend in the direct and indirect area;
  • Responsible from distribution, collection, maintenance of company documents such as Supplier Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, Supplier Terms and Conditions Contracts;
  • Maintenance of Supplier contact information through Procurement Forms;
  • Ensures adherence and compliance to procurement processes and policies;
  • Supports the development and implementation of improved procurement systems and processes

 

To be successful in this role you will poses:

  • 6years+ experience in Procurement ideally in a complex multiple geographic environment;
  • Solid experience and knowledge in the Food industry;
  • Project management experience in the areas of Direct and / or Indirect Procurement;
  • Strategic & innovative mind-set and superior negotiation skills;
  • Effective and highly adaptable communicator with strong networking and relationship building skills;
  • Ability to think laterally, utilising problem-solving skills to develop new approaches;
  • Strong analytical and Reporting capabilities; 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint;
  • Fluent in English; other language skills desirable;
  • Previous SAP experience;
  • Availability to occasionally travel within European countries.
