We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Officer to join our Quality team based in in Grange Castle, Clondalkin, D22.


Reporting to the Specifications & Supplier Approval Lead, this varied role will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and development of the Quality Management Systems and BRC standard for ARYZTA Bakeries Manufacturing while working proactively with other departments within manufacturing to resolve any issues in the bakery on a daily basis.


Principle Accountabilities will include: 

  • Coordination and management of all Grange Castle manufacturing site quarantined stock for rework or external refuse. 
  • Proactively updating of the QMS system in the Grange Castle bakery as requested (i.e Quality manual, procedures manual, records manual, H.A.C.C.P., recipes etc.)
  • Completion of Internal audits 
  • Completion of Customer Complaint investigations, responses and trending
  • Calibration and maintenance of Q.A. equipment in bakery i.e. temp probes, scales, metal detectors etc.
  • Ensuring hygiene, calibration and glass audits are up to date with relevant issues being raised / monitored on PEMAC.
  • Completion of external micro testing & allergen programme. Shelf Life testing of product to build process knowledge.
  • GMP monitoring, trending and updating control boards. Complete weekly foreign body audits and report to management.
  • Completing weekly reports, KPI for Tesco 
  • Monitoring and weekly reporting of Flour Cert of Analysis results and starter data 
  • Daily product sensory analysis and data recording 
  • Evaluating Raw Material ingredients against agreed specifications 

Skills & Qualifications required:

  • Minimum recognised Diploma in a food discipline or B.Sc. in science discipline.
  • Familiarity with the requirements of the B.R.C. standard as well of those of the major retailers would be a significant advantage.
  • Great communication skills and ability to work at own initiative and  prioritise
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office particularily in excel.
