Key Accountabilities

The Sr. Payroll Analyst (Los Angeles) is responsible for maintaining the integrity of payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for ARYZTA employees.  The Sr. Payroll Analyst will assist with all current and upcoming projects as well as strengthening our overall processes.

 

Responsibilities

  • Handles all payroll input related to bonuses, severances, gift cards, etc.
  • Provide accurate, compliant and timely payments for all ARYZTA US locations
  • Assist central services, bakeries, and cafes HRBP's and managers with payroll related issues and questions.
  • Drive weekly payroll reviews in coordination with Payroll Admin
  • Serve as Tier 2 Payroll support within payroll service model, addressing and resolving issues while ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Manage garnishment process through service provider and ensure payments are made timely, deductions reconcile, and all pending issues are addressed.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and associates.
  • Assists with maintaining of garnishment refunds, mail, garnishment verifications, manual check logs, daily returned checks log
  • Manage Affidavits for lost and fraud checks & provide any payment requirements to Payroll Manager for approval
  • Review daily manual checks for terminations, pay corrections, etc.
  • Serve as backup to Payroll Operations Manager
  • Process executive payments for Visa employees
  • Follow and maintain internal control policies, procedures and compliance with respect to the payroll process
  • Research and provide computerized payroll data and ad hoc reports for supervisors and department heads utilizing report writing tools.
  • Works with Accounting on payroll related check issues and reconciliations
  • Provide research related to stop payments, reissues, escheat, and other payment transactions
  • Review and authorize Ceridian’s processing employment tax notices Understand audit outcomes and works with the payroll director to establish action plans to address issues.
  • Reviews time management related processes and issues, including prior period adjustments.
  • Commitment to customer service and ability to work in team-oriented environment.

 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • College education or equivalent 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing in a hands-on work environment
  • Two (2) years Ceridian Payroll Experience
  • Extraordinarily high sense of accountability
  • Comprehensive analytical, math and computer skills required with the ability to be very detail oriented while maintaining accuracy.
  • Knowledge of the Basic Wage Standards covered in the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
  • Requires and “A-Player” who is well-trained in payroll and committed to providing best-in-class service.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Abide to the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment
  • Experience with problem solving and managing employee inquires
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
  • Proficiency in ADP EV5, eTime and ADPR.
  • Solid communication, customer service and organizational skills
