VP, Global Customer Development 

This position is responsible for the strategic general management and global business plan for one of our key strategic QSR accounts.  The position will interact with all facets of the business to drive the strategy by aligning all parties to ensure we meet our goals.  These key interactions will ensure sales, quality, bakery operations, planning and logistics are all aligned and working together to understand and deliver on our overall plan.  In addition, driving and managing this business and fostering a strong healthy relationship with this key strategic partner is critical.  Seasoned general management and strong leadership skills to work effectively in this dynamic environment are essential.   As well as developing and mentoring the team to drive and foster a high performing team.  Strong business and financial acumen are required to excel in this very complex and fast paced environment.  Overall, the position will need to work effectively in a matrix organization and in a large cross functional team to manage and drive the strategy and deliver on our commitments. 

Job Description Overview:

  • Act as general manager by providing leadership and direction to the overall business for this key strategic QSR account.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop, implement and drive the strategy for this key QSR partner to meet or exceed the goals and annual budget.
  • Work in a fast paced, dynamic, and challenging matrix organization to influencing direct and indirect team members and our key QSR partner to deliver our plan.
  • Prioritize business objectives to deliver maximum growth that is aligned with ARYZTA’s strategic direction.
  • Serve as executive contact for our largest QSR key partner and drive team engagement to achieve goals.
  • Lead & participate in presentations, negotiations, sales meetings, and trade shows with key external & internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction stays high, by developing lasting relationships with our key strategic partner, and create/build new relationships with associated brands.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and drive ARYZTA’s global strategies, as well as providing input in developing marketing strategies and innovative products.
  • Lead RFP strategy and pricing strategy for key QSR partner.
  • Lead global new product development process in coordination with European team – regulatory, compliance, hybrid inventory, SKU set up, production, POs and inventory management.
  • Provide excellent leadership to develop and foster a high performing team to deliver against the plan.

Skills/Competencies:

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in a senior sales role, on a national/international basis.
  • Experience as a General Manager preferred
  • Strong leadership experience essential
  • Experience managing and developing a high performing team
  • Bakery or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Exceptional presentation, negotiation, & relationship building abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent written and verbal skills
  • Strategic, resourceful, & creative individual who is a proven hands-on sales leader that thrives in a team environment.
  • Good understanding of food/beverage/other processing & manufacturing environments, logistics, & timeframes.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization and or complex organization
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Experience in global and international accounts and business strategies
  • College/University degree required, MBA preferred.
