Position Responsibilities:

  • Review, verify, file, and maintain records relating to product safety, legality, and quality systems.
  • Become knowledgeable in the requirements of third-party auditors such as: BRC, YUM Brands, Papa John’s, Costco, Starbucks, etc.
  • Participate and help prepare the management team for annual BRC Audit and customer audits throughout the year.
  • Direct and organize the Aryzta Integrated Management System (AIMS) to ensure all programs and documents are compliant.
  • Alert management of corporate updates to programs, procedures, and documents in the AIMS system.
  • Be proactive with all food safety related aspects of the plant and communicate issues with Bakery Director and management team as needed.
  • Maintain schedule calendars to stay on track with required committee meetings, training, and reviews.
  • Data-entry of records related to product safety, legality, and quality systems.
  • Manage the Glass, Brittle Plastics, and Ceramic program conducting inspections monthly.
  • Respond to customer complaints and work with management team to resolve the issue.
  • Assist with various data collection projects.
  • Assist in training department managers/supervisors on any new or updated corporate procedures.
  • This position is also responsible for food safety and legality. 
  • Support quality control programs to ensure production procedures are in compliance with best practices food safety and quality standards.

Education/Experience Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills Ability to analyze data and project trends and correlations  4 to 8 Years of progressive quality experience in a food manufacturing environment Extensive experience in the implementation and auditing of GFSI and BRC standards Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization as well as customers; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year institution of higher learning r’s degree from an accredited four year institution of higher learning

Physical Requirements: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Regularly required to climb, stand or walk for extended periods of time. or to work above ground level (on ladders, on silos or similar structures) or under extreme cold condition in coolers and freezers. Use a computer keyboard and monitor more than 25% of total work time.
