2nd shift

 

Responsibilities

  • Performs all duties as assigned by the Forepersons, or Sanitation Manager.
  • Completes and signs daily worksheet per Kleanz program.
  • Has at least a basic mechanical knowledge in working with tools.
  • Follows all company rules and guidelines as set forth in the company handbook.
  • Is flexible with working schedule. “The Sanitation Department is a service to the Bakery and therefore must work according to the Shutdown Period and Product Changeover Time as set by the Production Department”:
    • Starting time may vary.
    • Must be able to work weekends.
    • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Be able to work independently as well as in teamwork.
  • Be able to follow instructions on how to perform work tasks involving Dry or Wet Cleaning.
  • Must have the ability to learn multiple tasks, and the proper procedures for performing these tasks.
  • Learn the time frames given for each job, and learn to utilize the time given to the best of their ability to assure that time is used productively, and the job is done correctly.
  • Must be a “Team Player” (Many of the jobs in the Sanitation Department require more than one person to accomplish, it is essential that each employee is able to work as a team with other employees in the department).
  • Employee will be trained and must learn to properly use Chemicals, Tools and Equipment as needed to get the job done right, and done safely.
  • Employee will be trained and must learn and understand the Daily Cleaning Procedure forms (KLEANZ), and to properly fill out and sign off on these forms on a daily basis.
  • Must be responsible: All sanitors are to bring back all tools, equipment, chemical etc., needed to perform their job duties to the Sanitation room.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must not have physical restrictions, and must be able to perform task that require the following and more:
    • Bending at the knees
    • Reach out
    • Lifting
    • Carrying
    • Pulling
    • Push, etc.
  • Be able to safely climb a ladder, work from a Ladder or Platform, and perform work at high altitudes in a safe manner.
  • Be able to enter and perform tasks in confined spaces.
  • Be able to lift at least 50lbs.
  • If an employee has a condition such as: afraid of heights or is afraid of confined spaces please let management know immediately:
    • In consideration for the Safety of the employee, and due to the high physical demands of this job, he/she cannot be eligible to work in Sanitation Department. Working in sanitation in such condition, might put employee at risk of having an accident or causing an accident.

 

 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Education – High School
  • Years of Experience – 1 to 3 years
  • Language Skills, Spanish/English preferred.
