Key Accountabilities

Assists with the planning, direction and coordination of the bakery production process to ensure a continuous flow of quality products that meet or exceed all requirements of the customer, ARYZTA and regulatory agencies.



  • Assists Plant Manager with fulfilment of daily production requirements.
  • May coordinate daily production and staffing schedules.
  • Prepares and maintains necessary production, receiving and inventory records/reports and submits weekly Manager’s Report by Tuesday morning.
  • May act on behalf of Plant Manager during his absence.
  • Communicates with Production Manager prior to the start of each shift.
  • Informs all significant actions and/or problems to ensure a continuous flow of quality product.
  • Ensures a safe and sanitary facility that meets or exceeds all requirementsof the customer, Aryzta and regulatory agencies.
  • Reviews all safety requirements, accidents and concerns with ProductionManager on a daily basis.
  • Reviews the Master Sanitation Schedule with  Sanitation Supervisor on a weekly basis.
  • Assists Production Manager with coordination, selection, motivation and development of the human resources of the bakery to ensure all positions are ably staffed and future management is developed.
  • Assists with formal performance evaluations in addition to recommending developmental activities for production employees.
  • Encourages and maintains effective communication in all areas and between all levels within the plant.
  • Confers with each department head prior to the start of each shift to discuss any production, sanitation, engineering or quality problems.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and two-way communication with co-workers and other personnel throughout the Company.



Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent                                  
  • Years of Experience: 5 Years, manufacturing
  • Language Skills:  English and Spanish proficiency in Reading, Writing, Speaking
  • Computer/Software Skills: SAP, Microsoft Office Applications
  • Travel requirements:  <25% Travel
