Job Description

The Tax Specialist provides administrative and audit support to the Tax Department, including assembly of tax return packages, and e-file processing. This position requires the ability to work with minimal oversight and complete detailed projects in a timely manner.


  • Maintain all confidential records and reports received from the IRS, various states and other taxing agencies, including file and records on payments, refunds, and penalties, etc.
  • File Sales Tax Returns for US and Canada.
  • Assist with monthly tax reconciliations.
  • Process and mail year-end tax documents to IRS, state agencies, etc.
  • Process and Maintain sales tax payments, property tax payments, Business Licenses, Annual Report Filings.
  • Provide exemption certificate to Vendors and maintain sales tax exemption certificates.
  • Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to copying, mailing and filing, and scanning.
  • Provide support in maintaining Notices from IRS, State agencies etc.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Education:  B.A. or B.S in Accounting,
  • Experience: Up to three years of relevant work experience and one year relevant experience in accounting and/or tax industry is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Language Skills:   None
  • Computer/Software Skills:   Experience with SAP, Excel- Pivot Tables, V Lookup
  • Travel requirements:  None
