Job Title:  Lead, Bakery-Production 

 

Department:  Production   

 

Reports To: Production Supervisor

 

SUMMARY

Responsible for all areas meeting the mixing operations requirements.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Insure KPI Requirements are met daily. 
  • Inspect process and procedures to insure production standards are consistent.
  • Complete required paperwork for each shift
  • Remember your shift Mixing Process Summary Log report tells your story of the production run.
  • Complete the Mixing Process Summary Log 3 times a shift. Summarizing the success and challenges as the shift progress.
  • Assist in setting up line at the start of the shift due to a changeover wash down and allergen cleaning.
  • Meet formula requirements for the customer specification (measurement, total ingredients required, and temperatures).
  • Makes sure  proper equipment is used at all times
  • Discard, record and properly report and rejected product
  • Notify the supervisor of rejected ingredients and/or product due to incorrect ingredients or inclusions, stale dated or miss-labeled.
  • Insure that the work station platform is clean and orderly
  • Insure that all employees follow the current GMP Policy
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor. Include be following.  Other duties may be assigned

SAFETY & QUALITY ISSUES TO CONSISTANTLY ADDRESS

  1. Be extremely careful when dumping material into the mixing bowl. Train employees to observe ingredients and process for foreign material as well as safety concerns.
  2. Be careful when standing on plat form to avoid falling
  3. Be careful when walking up and down platform stairs.
  4. Do not place hands in machinery
  5. LOTO (Lockout Tag out) must be followed when necessary.
  6. Know the company evacuation plans
  7. Know where the emergency stop buttons are located.

 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • 2 Years Manufacturing Experience
  • Equipment and product knowledge
  • Equipment and product troubleshooting ability
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

 

Education, Technical Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Proficiency Level

Required

  • Read, Write and Math Skills
  • Good communication and observational skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and must also adapt to frequent changes that occur on the production line
  • Position requires ability to act as a member of a highly functioning team

 

Preferred

  • High School Diploma
  • Computer Skills
  • Food Manufacturing Experience
