Key Accountabilities

Handle day to day functions of sanitation department. Make sure grounds are checked and cleaned everyday. Strive to consistently produce positive sanitation results.

 

Responsibilities

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Handle the day to day functions of department.
    1. Assure all scheduled persons are present; note absences on attendance sheet and,  reassign work from absent workers
    2. Check schedule for production equipment needs, have equipment ready for  QC  and maintenance
    3. Check Bakers feed and call for pick up if needed
    4. Check cardboard compactor and trash compactor for issues.
    5. Start of shift walk thru and assign additional duties as needed.
    6. Account for all personnel that are in house.
    7. Follow up on all assigned tasks to insure work is done correctly and completed in a timely manner.
    8. Maintain safety awareness within the department.
  • Make sure silos, bases, contaminate and grounds are checked and cleaned everyday/shift daily.
  • Insure trashcans have liners and Bakery feed bag holders have rolls on hangers; make sure hand sanitizer and soap stations are stocked and in good working condition.
  • Perform a daily inventory of supplies and inform sanitation manager of items needed to order.
  • Upon completion of weekend cleaning inspect and ensure that equipment has been thoroughly cleaned and ready for swabbing.
  • Perform swab tests or insure that a trained team member properly performs this responsibility.
  • Validate and document the pros and cons of all team members’ performances, especially during the end of the week environmental cleanings.

 

  • Is seen and respected as a leader in the department and plant, by team members and plant staff!
  • Consistently insures and encourages team members to manage their times properly. Therefore, preventing them from being written up for not properly following department SOP.
  • Consistently demonstrates a pride of ownership and commitment to insuring that the department is operating, with a high level of efficiencies!
  • Fully support and embraces the department stretch goals and empowerment visions.
  • Insures that all sanitation tasks, responsibilities are performed and completed with the highest quality possible!
  • Assist the team in the processing plant area whenever necessary, in order to insure facility cleanliness!
  • Perform any and all responsibilities required or instructed, which will assist the department and plant in its efforts to continuously achieve expectations!

 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of two (2) years of manufaturing experience recommended.

 

Preferred

  • High school diploma
  • Food manufacturing experience
