Key Accountabilities

Responsible for the direct Supervision of all activities involved with the timely supply of ingredients and packaging materials to the Production lines across all shifts of operation.

 

Responsibilities

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Follow all bakery GMP and safety policies and procedures
  • Follow all FSQA policies and procedures specific to FG, ingredient, and packaging material movements to and from the production lines
  • Daily oversite of ingredient and packaging material requirements to support scheduled production
  • Daily oversite of adherence to REMIX movements
  • Daily oversite of Julian date/expire and movements
  • Daily oversite of material movements by Material Handlers 
  • Daily oversite of product damage, authorized disposals, and proper documentation and timely disposals required
  • Provide training, coaching, and accountability to Material Handlers across all shifts of operation
  • Ensure housekeeping and organization expectations are maintained in dry storage areas
  • Daily safety checks and documentation of racking system, Material Handler forklifts, and emergency exits
  • All other duties that are assigned by department management
  • Assist department management in the creation and implementation of policies and procedures specific to activities involved with the FG freezer and storage of ingredients and finished goods.
  • Assist in screening and interviewing prospective applicants for department.
  • Creation of employee work schedules and daily oversite.
  • Identify areas which need improvement and assist Department Manager with formulating and implementing corrective actions.
  • Works interdepartmentally with other supervisors to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Works cooperatively with the Production departments to facilitate timely and accurate movements of ingredients, packaging materials, and occasional manual FG movements to the freezer.
  • Works cooperatively with the Production Scheduler and Production Leadership to ensure ingredients are used in a FIFO environment.
  • All other responsibilities as they are identified.

 

 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a food-manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Previous forklift experience recommended
  • Good reading, writing and oral communications in English
  • Very good mathematical skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary, including weekends as needed
  • Computer skills – Ability to use Outlook, Word, and Excel software
  • SAP and SAP WM experience a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with other departments or customers
  • Must demonstrate good management skills
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
  • All other duties as assigned

 

Required

  • High School diploma required
  • Associates Degree or higher recommended

 

Preferred

  • Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment
  • SAP and or SAP WM experience
