We are currently recruiting for a Businesses Developer on a 12 month fixed term contract reporting directly to the Commercial Sales Manager. The purpose of the role is to deliver forecasted sales and revenue targets for a specific geographic territory (Clare, South Galway)  by managing and developing existing customer accounts and actively prospecting and opening new accounts.


Principle Accountabilities will include:


  1. To maximise sales from our existing customer base through the following:

    Delivery of high levels of customer service at all times leading to the best consumer experience.

    Maintaining planogram, merchandising and display standards at all times.

    Building appropriate product distribution.

    Driving promotions.

    Advising on increasing turnover, average spend, margin and waste management minimization.

    Advice and support on new store openings and store revamps.

    Delivery of in store training on products, concepts and general hygiene standards, showing Cuisine de France is a specialist supplier.

    Ensuring Store Surveys are regularly conducted within your geographic area and that any follow up is actioned on site/within Cuisine de France.

  2. To identify, develop and implement new business opportunities both with existing and new customers continuous prospecting of new business opportunities to ensure continuous increase in number of customers trading within the territory.
  3. Highlight opportunities and potential leads with your Commercial Sales Manager, Telesales and other Colleagues where necessary working cross functionally with other departments.
  4. Build a prospective database of potential customers to achieve business growth in your area.
  5. Monitor competitor activity - pricing and feedback to the business.
  6. Regular planning and follow through to ensure efficient execution of the journey plan and sales plan across the territory, ensuring all store visits are conducted within agreed timeframes. Regularly prioritise and review customer visits to ensure you are adapting to the customer’s needs and opportunities at any given time.
  7. To manage company assets (hardware) to ensure maximum return on expenditure for the business, in line with sales criteria. (Where applicable)
  8. Ensure compliance with our company policies and procedures e.g. ensuring Food Safety, Health & Safety requirements are adhered to.
  9. Present quarterly business plans to senior management to share results from previous quarter and targets for next quarter.
  10. Present bake off and presentation of products in customer locations when required.
  11. Provide regular and timely communication to your Commercial Sales Manager and any other personnel as applicable.
  12. Maximize Sales Report for every call


    Skills & Qualifications Required:


  • Proven track record within a sales role within the FMCG sector with a strong passion for food.
  • Experience in margin management and analysis of sales figures
  • Customer Focused approach
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • A Team Player
  • Strong numerical skills
